“Thank you so much for the most special weekend.

It was just amazing from start to finish. I am still holding the peace I experienced on the weekend with me. A very special experience with some very special women. I have been on several retreats in my time but this one tops them all. Your presence, wisdom and humour was just so wonderful to be around and I got so much from every element of the weekend from the music, the nature, the yoga, the chanting and readings and of course the most amazingly nourishing and delicious food from Tanya, best I have ever had!

I felt so supported over the weekend and was able to deeply connect with myself, which has been long overdue. I feel at peace but also extremely empowered after the weekend, an inner strength I haven't felt before.”

“It really was such a fabulous weekend.  Everything was just perfect: the venue, the food, the yoga, the women’s circle.  Its always magic when yourself and Tanya work together and Sligo holds something really special.  Looking forward to the next one already!

Huge thanks to you and Tanya – feeling so positive and refreshed this week!”

Our guests’ experience:

“Firstly I thought the venue was excellent. It was in a stunning part of the country which was so instrumental to the feeling of serenity I felt on the retreat. The accommodation was very comfortable and the facilities were of a very high standard.
I thought the weekend was very well organised and well structured. The whole retreat just flowed seamlessly.
The catering was incredible. I am a vegetarian and the quality of the vegetarian food was excellent . In my opinion Tanya (the chef) is a culinary genius. The helpings of the dishes at every meal were more than generous and and the taste and flavours of each dish always sent me back for seconds!! So thank you Tanya. Your food added immensely to my enjoyment of the retreat.
Aoife our yoga teacher and shamanic guide was fantastic. From the moment we arrived she made us feel so welcome and warmed. She prepared amazing yoga sessions for us and I felt I was in very capable hands. This was my first experience of exploring shamanic healing and I really enjoyed learning and delving into the Celtic shaman world. Aoife incorporated walks and a tour of the incredible local natural surroundings as part of the activities of the weekend.
This was indeed a very special yoga weekend retreat which surpassed my high expectations . Thank you so much Aoife for all your time , energy , effort , authenticity and talent . I know a lot of work went into making this retreat a truly memorable experience for me and my fellow participants. It was totally wonderful in so many positive and fulfilling ways.”

What our lovely guests have to say;

“Folk go to retreats when they really need to, and when the need calls, a retreat that holds beautiful ceremony between women, craic, tears, unbelievable food is an experience that fills in the cracks and stabises. I did the Samhain retreat in Sligo and the tired dankness that was there was replaced with secure warmth. I felt held, it was perfectly organised and I sank into the flow of it so gladly. I can't recommend aoife's retreats enough.”

My first overnight retreat. I decided to go alone. I also had never taken a class with Aoife. I have had the pleasure of Tanya's meals at other day retreats - which is what prompted me to go to the Cabragh Lodge retreat. Three days of Tanya's food - heaven! It could not have been better. The setting is beautiful and serene. The cabins are cosy, clean, spacious and just gorgeous. Aoife's style of teaching was exactly what I needed, slow, challenging, relaxing, spiritually enriching and fun. The walks were invigorating, the group was great company, we had some laughs! There was plenty of time to rest and reflect. Three nights is perfect. I will retreat with Aoife and Tanya again (as soon as I can)! I loved every minute.

“Dear Aoife,

I just wanted to offer a few words of gratitude to you for having me on your amazing retreat.  It was such a special day for so many reasons and for me it was definitely a continuation of the work you have been doing with me during the  1:1 sessions.

For a start the idea of me attending a full day retreat a few weeks ago would likely not have been an option but since our last 1:1 session I have found that courage or confidence that I had misplaced. I had not done yoga class since May and never having done forest yoga , it was a physically challenging but the real gift for me was the ability to laugh at myself on the day and accept completely where I was at with no judgement was a real gift! And I have to admit the ability to make up completely new Asana's and imagined poses on the day was another laugh for me.

The energy of the day was precious and the support , intent,  safe and sacred space of the day could be felt the moment I entered the barn. You created such a beautiful space where each member recieved the opportunity to be nutured, supported and recieve healing throughout the day. Your  ability to hold sacred space and so reverently call on of all the light beings and helpful vibrations made it a day so of healing,  full of connection and full of magic!

I am truly honoured and blessed to have  been part of such a special  day.”

We are available for private retreats also. If you are a group who wish to spend a weekend away retreating in the NorthWest, we are here to cater to your needs. Please email Aoife for more information and to check dates.
